Deep beneath us all, we possess something so strong
Things we carry with us, for so very long.
Encumbered with the scars, the tears, the pain
Wishing one day happiness and clear skies we can rightfully gain.
We drone day to day wondering what we should have then been
The what ifs, the how comes, the whys, all remain within.
We do what's asked of us, and repress the memories
We lack ability to sleep or speak, never able to recharge the batteries.
The desire to improve, and then once again become whole
Is what we sought for our nerves, to get right with our soul.
These feelings we call demons, we trap deep beneath the surface
Constant war between mind and body, that can't be eased with purchase.
We know demons need vessels, don't let them grasp ahold of you
They desire to once again to be pure, with a heart, that makes them true, like you.
